Prep Courses

Just joined this morning-great sight. I am looking to do really well on my GMAT. My undergraduate GPA is very low . In hopes of a good score I started looking into prep courses. Does anyone have a recommendation? I am pretty much looking at everything butit seems like Veritas and MGMAT are in the lead. Any guidance?

Here's my strategy.

GMAC official guide.
GMAC verbal review guide.
GMAC quantative review guide.
Princeton review book. This book will mainly teach you tricks and strategies on how to overcome the test.

If you need in-depth review of quantatative and english grammar then it's best to take a prep course. Otherwise, you don't need a prep course. Check out gmaxonline.com for prep review.

Your strategy all depends on the amount of time you have. Yes, the suggestions below are great, but you should also try taking as many practice tests as possible. This will make you more comfortable as you will be doing timed tests in a computer-adaptative format. As for the class, I have a mixed opinion. I originally was under the impression that classes are things that would definitely help to bolster your score. However, so far I have been wrong. I have finished taking my Kaplan course and have NOT SEEN IMPROVEMENT. I had scored a 520 on my own and I can't seem to get beyond that point even after taking the class.

So, if you absolutely want to take a class, don't take Kaplan.

Just follow the above advices. Currently taking Veritas ...don't waste your money with this prep courses.
