Dear Phd guy,

Your academic profile is strong, which is an advantage in PhD admissions. As I posted previously, your research focus for your dissertation will be an important part of your application. Consequently, you need to identify and target programs where you can work with faculty who have expertise in your intended research area. Perhaps research who has published recently in your intended focus as a place to start in terms of potential programs? You might also then research where those authors received their PhD's as another source of potential programs. PhD admissions is quite different from MBA, so I encourage you to research the PhD admissions process to ensure you present your background effectively.

Good luck,
Lisa
