Profile evaluation request

Hi Lisa,

I was wondering if you can evaluate my profile.

Profile: 28/F/Asian origin/US Citizen

GMAT: 650 - Q48, V31, AWA 6 (I plan to retake it and aim for 700+)

Undergrad GPA: 2.9 (I ended up not having an aptitude for the major I chose, which shows poor judgement, but there were some other issues, and I plan to explain this in the optional essay. I did go to Graduate school to rectify this)

Masters GPA: 3.6 (completed degree in one year with part-time internship, which demonstrates the ability to perform well in an accelerated and challenging academic setting - this is similar to the environment at INSEAD)

Work Experience: Engineering & project management - 5 years in the non-profit, healthcare industry

Other: Extensive & current organizational and leadership extracurricular experience including international management experience

School: INSEAD

Plan post MBA: Start up a similar healthcare institution in Asia - thus INSEAD will help me establish the links I need, and provide a good transition platform

Dear snflwer3,

There are many positives in your profile for a competitive application to INSEAD. As you are aware, your GMAT is the main concern as INSEAD prefers you to score in the 80% on both the quant and verbal sections. If you can increase your score to be near that mark, then I think you have a good chance with a compelling set of essays and solid recommendations. Your interview will also be important to demonstrate your rationale for the degree and your reasons for/fit with INSEAD.
