by gmatrant » Sun Nov 06, 2011 11:33 pm
Recently implemented "shift-work equations" based on studies of the human sleep cycle have reduced
sickness, sleeping on the job, fatigue among shift workers, and have raised production efficiency in various
industries.
(a) fatigue among shift workers, and have raised
(B) fatigue among shift workers, and raised
(C) and fatigue among shift workers while raising
(D) lowered fatigue among shift workers, and raised
(E) and fatigue among shift workers was lowered while raising

The OA is C. "...have reduced.... while raising" - Can you please comment if the tenses are correct in this sentence.
A kudos or thanks would do great if my answer has helped you :)

Before going to tense issue you should see that there are lists and sub-lists present here.

For example:- John is good at English, Math, and Science.

Similarly, you need 'and' before fatigue to complete the sub-list.

have reduced sickness, sleeping on the job, AND fatigue among shift workers..

that brings us to only option C and E. I am sure you were able to easily eliminate option E.
Choose OPTION C

PS: When you post a question please make sure you don't forget to UNDERLINE the part under review. Also, make sure that the formatting is good. All these little things makes the life a little easy for everyone.

Thanks
