Beat by the Gmat again. 590 to a 560?!?!?!

by Will416 » Mon Oct 31, 2011 11:38 am
I cant begin to explain my frustration right now. Just wrote for a second time on saturday, after scoring in the mid 600s through close to a dozens practise exams, MGAT and GMAT prep i felt very confident going into the exam and even more confident as i was writing it. I was then shocked to see such a low score. my verbal dropped from a 38 on my 1st try in August to a 31 which is lower than i scored on my first pre study diagnostic test. I thought i was acing the verbal section the whole time too. I think i may be done with this as my earlier 590 could possibly get me into some mid level canadian mba programs.

Oh no! Will416, totally understand your frustration - that test is HARD! In fact, about 25% of those taking the test a second time get a lower score... so you're not alone to have this experience. Not that it will make you feel any better to hear that. :(

It's true that there are many good programs out there that will accept applicants with a GMAT below 600, including many in Canada. And, you'll get out of an MBA program what you put into it, so there's no reason you can't go far with whatever program you choose.

Best of luck to you!!
