Contacts through GMASS

by YTG » Wed Aug 24, 2011 8:03 pm
When I took the GMAT last June, I opted to make my contact address and other information available to any school that might be interested. Currently, a number of schools are contacting me through that service (GMASS), one school has even suggested that I could potentially be a successful applicant given my GMAT score. A few of the schools that are contacting me through the GMASS service are among the top programs in the US. I had already chosen the schools to apply to, but now I am wondering if I have better chances with the schools that are contacting me through the GMASS service. I need expert opinions whether contacts through the GMASS indicate that a candidate has a better chance with such schools than with schools that haven't made such contacts.
Thanks

I've also received similar contacts from some top schools after scoring well on the GMAT, and I was wondering about the relevance of these emails. My advice is to refer this questions to an admissions consultant on a BTG forum, or submit your profile to one of the consultants that offers a free intial evaluation. They will be able to give you a reference point as to which schools are realistic for you.
