application: additional documents

by adam007 » Wed Jan 10, 2007 9:26 am
Hi Stacy,

I'd appreciate some help re MBA (top 5 b-schools) application, as I haven't found the answer on the Forum.

Apart from all the required docs the schools ask for, should I attach any certificates/diplomas of my extra achievements? E.g. if in the secondary school I was VP of the Students’ Union shall I attach to my application any letters that confirm this activity? Or if I won business case competition at my uni should I attach the diploma?

I’m asking as I’d like to apply this autumn and if I can attach such docs (hoping that they will increase my chances) I have to start organising them now. But before I start collecting them I would like to know if b-schools consider (read) such attachments or they go only through the docs they specifically asked for.

Thanks in advance
adam

No, you will not need that type of documentation. Some schools hire agencies to validate what you write in your apps, but they will do it on their own, or through contact numbers you provide.

The extra paperwork, is not necessary and will not help. What's important is that you won the award or were elected to office and you can write about that in your essays, recs, data forms.
