How much did you improve your last 3 weeks of prep?

I am at the three week mark. On Saturday, I took the GMATPrep 2, and only scored 690 (46Q, 38V), which was substantially lower than my goal. However, I did seem to make some careless errors early on in each section, which no doubt greatly lowered my score. I feel I can certainly improve on my Verbal performance.

With that said, how much improvement have some of you guys seen in the final three weeks of your study programs? Personally, I think it's reasonable to expect myself to cut out careless errors, work through my error logs, and cut out some concept mistakes to get my score into the 730-750 range.

I remember well- the last three weeks were very important fo the prep. I did spend valuable time in revision and making sure that I do not make careless mistakes.

The careless mistakes are killing me. I took the second GMATPrep test to see where I am, and found that 67% of my quant misses were due to careless errors. Verbal misses were about the same, if not higher. I still scored a 690, but given my goal, I need to stop making careless errors.

Hang in there. Identifying the specific types of careless errors you're making is a big accomplishment. Like several of you have mentioned, working through those errors is a great goal for the last 21 days.

I wouldn't be too concerned with cramming anything new, but identify and "fix" those errors (i.e. drill factorization), work out timing issues (hone internal clock) and reviewing strategies (hopefully you've learned some along the way) as you work practice exams is a great use of time those last 3 weeks.
