Hello,

I recently took my GMAT and scored 640 (Quant: 47, Verbal 31, AWA :5.5). My target school is Chicago Booth and nothing else. I have over 7 years work experience. And at my work I have been promoted 3 times in 5 years. I have a bachelors from an university in India and a Master's from an american university. I am seriously considering taking up the GMAT again. But I am torn and not really sure. Should I take the GMAT again or focus on the application process? I am thinking of part-time evening MBA.

Please advice.

Hello tsanje1, thanks for your question.

Your 640 is below both the mean (715) and median (720) scores for Booth (fulltime). Moreover, the middle 80% range is 660-760. I know you seem to have a strong record at work, but submitting a GMAT score outside the 80% range will be a significant challenge. If you think you can raise your score, I think it'd be worth it to retake the exam.

For part-time evening, my hunch is that the GMAT wouldn't be as much of a factor.

Best of luck!
Brian
