If a and b are positive numbers, what are the coordinates of the midpoint of line segment CD in the xy-plane?

(1) The coordinates of C are (a, 1-b)

Point 1: (x1, y1)
Point 2: (x2, y2)
Midpoint: ( (x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2 )

Statement 1: No information about D.
Statement 2: No information about C.

Together:
( (a+1-a)/2 , (1-b+b)/2 ) = (1/2, 1/2)
Sufficient
