PhD in Marketing from U.S. - advise please?

I am a Bachelor of Technology from Aligarh Muslim University, India, and an MBA from IIM, Lucknow (India). Nearly 12 years of full-time tenure in the industry. Currently manage social-media marketing business for a MNC. GMAT = 710 (50 in Q and 37 in V), and TOEFL = 110. I prefer to do research in 'modeling ROI in social-media marketing.' As part of my recently concluding MBA, I am publishing a research-paper on this topic; have also done two case-studies on Integrated Marketing Communications, and Entrepreneurship.

I want to apply for full-time, residential PhD from U.S. b-schools. My professors from IIM, Lucknow have agreed to type LORs for me (I have done some research work with them, and hence, they are qualified to comment on my research aptitude.)

Q1: Given my preference for 'modeling ROI in social-media marketing', I will apply for PhD in Marketing, but I will also draw significant help from quantitative analysis, and MIS. Do you know of any schools that are well-known for quant and MIS research?

Q2: Any other advise for me?

MIT and CMU are best one as per student perception.

I have a ranking list for you to have a general idea of Top B School for Phd.

My advice would be to have a real high GMAT first and then supplement it with good marketing of your research work and LOR.
