MIT sloan college calculus and microeconomics requirements

Can I put yes if I've attended these courses in my high school (11th and 12th grade). I studied mathematics (without calculus) but not economics as a subject during my engineering degree.

Its silly but I am not sure if college here means just the under-graduation engineering period!

Hi goddy--

High school courses are not typically considered to be college-level. There *might* be an exception if you took AP classes in high school, but even then it's iffy. Remember that the adcom will doublecheck your transcripts against anything you tell them. If it doesn't show up on the college transcript, you should be very careful about claiming that you've taken the class - this would not be recommended!

They're not going to reject an otherwise-strong candidate who has not taken those classes. They just want to see what your education level is in these specific quant-heavy subjects. College classes are not the same as those taken in high school.

Yep, if its an AP course, normally you should get these credits validated by your diploma so they will show up, and then you should have fulfilled your obligations. I will echo our friend above in pointing out that they won;t turn you away because of this.
