Hi -
I did poorly in undergrad, finishing with a 2.4~GPA graduating with BA/BS in Econ/BAdmin. I'm not making excuses, but I think I started college too young after graduating high school at 16.
My resume is very good - starting my career at a small investment bank (yes, I got lucky), then big banks including GS. I know I can get a great letter of recommendations. If the Adminssion Com gives me the opportunity to interview,I think I will do well. I normally do well in interviews. I am worldly, have been to over 40 countries; have done extensive community service - I can write a compelling essay.
My GMAT is 740, and I know I can do better. I'm planning to give it another shot before applying.
Fall 2013 is my target. So, going back to the first paragraph, I know I need an alternative transcript. I'm planning on taking 4 courses, Statistics, Advance Accounting, Finance, and some sort of College Math.
Questions:
1. 4-classes too much, or 2-classes enough? or, what courses should I take other than what I wrote above?
2. I'm hoping to get in to top 20 B-Schools - is this even possible with my low GPA even if I get all A's in my alternate transcript?
Thanks in advance, I'm just being realistic before I spend a lot of money on my alternate transcript. I'm planning on taking all courses at NYU.
