Weight of chestnut = x% of 1 kg
Rate of chestnut = R1
Weight of walnut = y% of 1 kg = (1-x)% of 1 kg
Rate of walnut = R2

X*R1 + (1-X)*R2 = 7 ............................i
(1.5X) R1 + (1 - 1.5X) R2 = 8 ................ii

From 1 and 2:
0.5X*R1 - 0.5X*R2 = 1
X*R1 - X*R2 = 2
X*R1 = 2 + X*R2................................. iii

Substitute the value of XR1 in Equation i:
X*R1 + (1-X)*R2 = 7
2 + X*R2 + R2 - X*R2 = 7
R2 = 7 - 2
R2 = 5.00

Hence C
