With 2.5 years of work experience in IT,I decided to leave my job and prepare for CAT(Indian MBA exam). After 6 months of hard labor,I still could not manage to get great marks. At this point of time I was hell bent to go for MBA as I hated IT job, so started preparing for GMAT. I tried twice in next 6 months but failed to cross the 700 barrier. Finally I moved back to my IT job in one of the top companies, but still kept on preparing for GMAT. Few days back I finally scored 710, but now I don't know whether I have killed my chances with this gap.
So finally I have 3 years of work ex and 1 year of gap. I was passively involved with one of my friends in his start up company(just giving him suggestions and working on presentations etc) while I was preparing for these tests. Now, I don't know will they consider it as my work ex? My friend is ready to give me a letter stating that I was involved in the start up, but I am not sure as I don't know any client personally for reference or recommendation.
Please suggest.
