Do I stand a chance?

Hi there,

I was hoping to get some evaluation feedback on my profile and advice on schools to target:

Age: 35
Nationality: Indian
Edu:
B.E.- top 15 colleges - 62% (class of 2000)
PGDM- tier 2 school - B+ (class of 2003)
Certified Project Management Professional
Certified SCRUM Master
Certified ISO 9001:200 Internal Quality Auditor
Will be completing another certification on business analysis shortly

GMAT: 730

Employment History:

1. Management Trainee with a Financial Services Co. (primarily sales oriented job profile)- 6 months
2. Technical Support Executive with a Call Center - 6 Months
3. Associate Project Manager with a BPO - 1 Year
5. Associate Project Manager to Sr Project Manager - ITeS/IT - 5.5 Years
6. Principal Consultant - IT - Big 4 - 6 months till date

EC:

1. Participation in sporting events during school and college (will not be able to produce certificates)
2. Contested elections for Secretary of student's union at college (lost)
3. Participated/Volunteered with NGO focussed activities (on n off)
4. Amateur Photographer

Int'l Exposure:
1. Few short consulting business trips to US/HK

Reasons for MBA:
1. Networking
2. Structured Learning Environment
3. Int'l Exposure
4. (not the least) giving one good shot to a great academic report card

Hi,

Thanks for your post. You are a bit above the average in terms of age and experience of those at top full time US programs. Are you looking for advice on EMBA programs? It doesn't look like you are necessarily looking to change your career, thus an EMBA might be the best fit for you. I would suggest looking into programs that are near you geographically speaking. There are great programs on both coasts in the US such as Wharton (and Wharton West)and Haas.
