Guys help me out. Refer the following SC -

And OA is C
But according to me, it should be B. If I am wrong, please let me know where my error is?

In A the tense not proper...received and using..so A is out
in B and E - what does it refer to??? is it the huge sums of money?? if yes then shldn't it be them???...so B & E are out
In D - what does it refer to?? dont think Japan as the reference coz we have only the sums of money as the subject...so D is out

The one left out is C and it has everything in place...
