I took GMAT yesterday. It went really bad. Ended up with 630(Q47,v30)
I am not sure whether there is enough time for a retake before application deadlines.

I have 6 years of experience in IT industry with International work exposure.
pretty average academics.

Colleges I was planning to apply were:
1)University of Toronto: Rotman.
2)Cornell University (Johnson)
3)UCLA
4)Yale
5)Haas

Now really confused whether to retake GMAT in another month or start with applications.
If you know any consultant in US that works out for my profile please let me know.

Please advise!

Thanks

The chances based on score is low, but based on profile is reachable. Definitely reachable.

We have seen applicants getting interview calls and converting it too. Just focus now on application.Write strong essays, present yourself as a brand implicitly different from others.

Your experience is at par.

Dont appear for GMAT immidiately.

Hi nightbird,

Did you decide whether to re-take the GMAT or apply with existing score?

My situation is exactly the same as yours. I took the GMAT yesterday and scored 630 (Q47,V29)...really disappointed. I too have 6 yrs of IT experience and decent GPA (for both BS and MS).

The programs I plan to apply are,

UCLA femba
USC part-time MBA

Both schools have a mean of 690/700. I am wondering if I have any chance of getting through with a score of 630. Applications deadlines are approaching, so not sure whether to apply or re-take GMAT.

Did you talk to any admissions consultant?

Thanks and all the best!
