A- Wrong.

"not" away from "motivated. It also should be "but by the practical matters"

B- Wrong.

Avoid "being". "it" seems ambiguous.

C- Wrong.

You don't use a verb with "like".

D- Wrong.

It should be "not by". Also "which" wrongly modifies the universe.

E- Correct.

I canceled options A, B and D, was down to either C or E.
I chose C instead of E. I understand that we use 'like' for nouns and 'as' for verbs, but I was unable to identify the verb here, is it 'greater' in greater precision?
