660 -Q48 - V34 - AWA 6.0

by bobvbobv » Thu Sep 29, 2011 10:18 am
Hi everybody,
this is my score for my 1st GMAT 640 - Q48 - V30 - AWA 6.0 about a month ago and this is my second gmat about a week ago: 660 - Q48 - V34 - AWA 6.0. As you can see, there is a pretty wide gap between my quant and verbal scores. I am not applying for an MBA but for a masters degree at top European business schools right after my undergrad studies.
My question: What will the admission committee think when they will see such a gap? How to reassure them that I understand English?
My background: originally from central Europe, study full time in English in the Netherlands and now at a top US university for study exchange during the fall semester.
thanks a lot for your ideas

I dont think the GAP should be an issue.
It just reflects that your quantitative aptitude is better than your verbal reasoning.

And, you don't have to reassure anybody regarding your understanding of English.
34 in Verbal is by no means bad, also your AWA 6.0 demonstrates that you can write well.

There is no reason to worry. You should rather start working on other parts of your application.
