Hi all,

I'm about a week into the Verbal section of the 60 day plan (received the email for critical reasoning day 1 today), but I'm a little confused to see that the only materials used thus far in Verbal have been the OG12 and the occasional reference to Kaplan (which I don't have).

On the other hand, it seems that the Math section included practice almost exclusively from Manhattan's guides. Does this program simply not use Manhattan's guides for the Verbal section or is it coming up later? If not used at all, are there any places/study plans you can point me to that DO utilize Manhattan's materials? I figure that I should use them since I have them, but I don't really have a study plan to use them with

Thanks

Hi brosnan6,

The Study Guide uses the Kaplan book as the sole resource for Verbal and students can use either the MGMAT booklets or the GMAT Prep Now videos for Quantitative.

More information about the required resources: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-guide

You can still use the MGMAT books to help you prepare for Verbal, except you'll need to do a little work first. It shouldn't be hard though. For example, on a particular day, we might direct you to read certain pages in the Kaplan book to learn how to solve Strengthen/Weaken the Argument CR questions. So, you'll just need to find where those concepts are covered in your MGMAT CR books.

Cheers,
Brent
