GMAT 710 --> 640, Now what

by abhishekarohi » Sat Sep 24, 2011 12:22 pm
Hey,

I had given GMAT in 2010 and scored 710, I aspired to increase my score and gave GMAT again today but unfortunately GMAT beat me today. I just scored 640. I would like to have few suggestions out here:

1. Should I retake the GMAT again to make my score count above 700?
2. If I send the score to the schools so will I have an option on mba.com website to send selective scores?
3. In case the school receives both the scores, which one will be considered?

It would be great if somebody can calm my nerves so that I can clearly think about my future.

Regards

GMAT Score:700

Scores are good for 5 years, so that 2010 score will still be good. Schools typically consider only your highest score.

When do you plan on applying? A 710 is currently in the 92nd %ile, and there are probably better ways to spend your time than trying to get to the 94th, 96th, etc %ile.
