The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, having a mass about three times that of Jupiter's -- 1,000 times that of Earth's -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon.

(A) The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, having a mass about three times that of Jupiter's -- 1,000 times that of Earth's -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon.

(B) The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, has a mass about three times that of Jupiter -- 1,000 times that of Earth -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon.

(C) The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, having a mass about three times more that of Jupiter -- 1,000 times more that of Earth -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon.

(D) The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, has a mass about three times that of Jupiter's -- 1,000 times that of Earth's -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon.

(E) The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, having a mass about three times greater that of Jupiter's -- 1,000 times greater that of Earth's -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon.

the problem with this sentence is that the underlined portion is fragment and does not have verb.. on the other hand it needs to follow a parallel structure with "and orbits" ==> to fix these problems we need to have "the planet, known as..., HAS a mass of....."
(A) The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, having a mass about three times that of Jupiter's -- 1,000 times that of Earth's -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon. out

(B) The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, has a mass about three times that of Jupiter -- 1,000 times that of Earth -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon. correct

(C) The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, having a mass about three times more that of Jupiter -- 1,000 times more that of Earth -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon. out

(D) The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, has a mass about three times that of Jupiter's -- 1,000 times that of Earth's -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon. "of-phrase" and "possessive 's" can not be together (that of jupiter's)

(E) The planet, known as CoRoT-2b, having a mass about three times greater that of Jupiter's -- 1,000 times greater that of Earth's -- and orbits its parent star, CoRoT-2a at a distance roughly 10 times the distance between Earth and the moon. out
