B is not correct because Chase needs to have no connections with the entertainment industry. Chase does not know anyone who has connections in the entertainment industry does not have to be true because it in no way tells whether Chase himself had connections in the entertainment industry or not.

difference between B and E is ..
B pints to weak connection to entertainment industry where as E points to direct link to the industry.

Hence chances are more that (E) there is no direct connection between chase and hollywood

The only assumption made for D is if someone finds it below his dignity to have connections with someone then he does not have any connections, which is a lighter assumption IMO. It is far much better than claiming that "Chase has not financed Hollywood movies". There is a huge assumption involved in making E as a conclusion which is "The only way to have a connection in the entertainment industry is to have financed a Hollywood movie".
