Is 700 good enough ?

by Kshitij Gupta » Sun Apr 20, 2008 7:36 pm
Hi Stacy ,

I have given GMAT last year scoring 700 (31 VA, 51 QA ) . I have nearly 4 years of experience in software development . I am BTech with 3.2 GPA and am involved in some community service. My target schools are Tuck , Haas, Ross and Darden . But I feel my GMAT score is less for these schools . Should I again give the GMAT ? Please advice ?

Thanks
Kshitij

Dear Kshitij,

A 700 GMAT score is in the right range for the schools you mention. However, your profile is one of the most common (at some schools the most common) in the applicant pools of US MBA programs. So that means you must find a way to distinguish yourself to result in a positive decision. An increase in your score will help your application. But more importantly, you need to present a compelling case to these schools to result in your admission.

Good luck,
Lisa
