If you are a fresh applicant you will experience it with time, but anyways, do you really know that how B Schools really do the first filtering. Hi

I am a Computer Science Engineer from IIIT- Calcutta (not to be confused with IIT) with a total of 4 years of work experience, out of which I have worked in UK for close to 3 years. I appeared for the GMAT and got a score of 680(q49, v34) with AWA 5.5. I am planning to apply to international schools such as NUS, Nanyang, HKUST, RSM, HEC.

I will say this is a question which I would love to answer. Consultants are like helpers, friends and torch bearers. Once you hire a consultant for the "full-service" treatment, he will first take an indepth inventory of your career up until this point. He will quiz you on:

What extracurriculars you did in college.
Why you chose your major.
Your grades in college.
Why you chose your current employer.
Evidence of success in your job.
Your extracurriculars outside of the workplace.
Your future career goals.
Your GMAT scores (if you have taken the exam).
What you're looking for in a business school.
Which schools you are targeting

If you look carefully, these are the questions which you wanted him to answer. This is why I said he will help you answer this question actively and with direction.

There will be two kinds of services : End to end and Services specific to particular part of the application.

At the same time there will be Flat fees based Consultant(College Specific) or Time based Charging(hourly) Consultants.
