GMAT: 770 , AWA 5.5

GPA: 3.86 at McGill, Bachelor of Commerce

Languages: Fluent English and French (Canadian), intermediate Spanish, beginner German

Work Experience: less than 3 years, with non-profits though have had turnover with companies (all with good reason...moved with director, left to care for terminally ill mother). Communications, revenue development (including launch of a capital campaign) and working with at-risk youth. Also taught an undergraduate course in organizational behaviour to two undergraduate sections, and TA for cross cultural management clas at McGill.

Extracurricular: currently training for longest bike race in world (Tour D'Afrique, 12,000 km from Cairo to Cape Town), lots of volunteer and athletic experience though not with one single organization for a long period

Other specialties and experience: writing business plans for non-profits, started scholarship fund for inner-city youth, official agent and communications manager for Green Party candidate in provincial election, photography, scuba diving, travel, executor for my mother's estate

Overall, I am wondering to what an extent my varied involvement is a weakness? My target schools are:

-Columbia
-Berkeley
-Yale
-University of Toronto
-Oxford

and maybe York University, and a couple others

Wow

Your problem is not one, but many. I dont think you need profile evaluation. You need abstraction and that is very necessary.

Talk to some consultant, that will help.

Weakness??? I don't see any weaknesses!
:)
Your non-profit work is awesome. Apply to Stanford too, it's a good place for people with non-profit goals. It's totally up your alley. You've already done your part on the GMAT, now just make some amazing essays, and a strong application, and you'll be fine!

Wow, thank you for your quick reply. Stanford was actually one of my first choices (along with Berkeley and Yale) but I cut it because I thought it would be too competitive, I'll reconsider now, thanks!
