Recommendation letters

Hi,
I am in some trouble with my recommendation letters since I had been (well lets say : not focused) while I was preparing for my GMAT , and that seems to have affected my perceived credibility. If I were to ask for letter of recommendations from my bosses, I would squander my chances

I'm not sure I understand your dilemma here. How have you squandered your chances or affected your credibility? If these people are the right choice for you to ask, then there should not be an issue in approaching them to write a recommendation letter for you. Please provide some additional detail around your situation and inquiry if you would like me to comment further.

What I understood from your post is that, you neglected your work due to GMAT and now you are in a fix to ask your boss to write an excellent LoR. That sounds really bad. But there's nothing that can't be fixed. You can talk to him and tell him this is what happened. All the good work you have done won't go waste because of one thing, if your manager is broad minded. If he is not broad minded then there's no point asking him to give a recommendation in the first place. Other option is to ask your senior - not the manager/boss for a recommendation. All the best.

Exactly .! My boss is pretty stern about all this! Since he was a navy commander once he is very strict about discipline and doesnt really allow any laxity in the rules,although I flouted several of them .!
Yes,I will go and talk to him. Lets see!
