Hi,
(-1)^m + (-1)^n + (-1)^(m+n) = [1+(-1)^m]*[1+(-1)^n] - 1
From(1):
m is odd. So, 1+ (-1)^m = 0.
So, the value is 0 -1 =-1
From(2):
n is odd. So, 1+ (-1)^n = 0.
So, the value is 0 -1 =-1
