Hi,

Thanks for your post. While you are on the younger side for bschool applicants (with just 2.5 years of work experience if I am reading that correctly), you do have some interesting aspects to your profile.

Your biggest challenges in the application process will be to stand out in the applicant pool and to tie together your short and long term goals (right now it isn't really clear to me why management consulting is the best path for you to achieve your long term goal). The work you've done managing the retail shop with your father could provide some interesting content for your essays and help you stand out in the pool. Perhaps you have some solid leadership examples from this experience?

As far as schools that have management consulting career opportunities, there are plenty! As long as you stick with top 15 ranked US programs you'll have a chance to apply to these types of jobs. Just be sure you pick schools that not only align with your post MBA goals, but are also a fit with your personality (location, class size, etc.).

Best of luck,

Stacey
