RC Practice (with timing) - question

Hello all,

Please tell me what you think of this pacing method for RC practice in the Official Guide and in the Verbal Review Book. I took the initial times from this article: https://www.knewton.com/blog/gmat/2010/0 ... on-timing/.

Setup: In one browser (Chrome) I have the Google Docs Spreadsheet with the Error Log. In a second browser (IE8) I have https://www.beatthegmat.com/critical-rea ... t-t60.html open (for the forum's lap timer -- so any forum page will do ).

Steps:

1. First count the number of questions. I know this is not going to be possible on the actual test, but this is for only practicing within the time constraints.
2. Based on the number of questions, I write down how many minutes I have to complete both the passage and the problems.
   1. 3 Questions = 6 Minutes
   2. 4 Questions = 8 Minutes
   3. 5 Questions = 9.5 Minutes
   4. 6 Questions = 11 Minutes
   5. 7 Questions = 12.5 Minutes
   6. 8 Questions = 14 Minutes
3. Click STOP on the timer to clear it out, and click the PLAY/PAUSE button to start the timer. Start reading the passage.
4. When finished reading the passage, click on the LAP button. Start answering the first question.
5. After completing the question, click the LAP button. Start answering the next question.
6. Repeat this process until the last question. When finished the last question, click the PLAY/PAUSE button.
7. Now there is a figure for the ELAPSED time which I compare with the target number of minutes which I wrote down before. I can see if I'm over time, under time, and also which parts took the longest.
8. Repeat steps for the next passage.

What do you all think? Any suggestions?
