I request you to kindly evaluate my profile and let me know which B-schools in the US would be best suited for me.

Quant: 49 (86 percentile)
Verbal:39 (87 percentile)
AWA: 5.5.

Work Profile
5 years plus experience currently in the Indian Internet Space.
I head a Business Unit for my current company where I report directly to the CEO.
1 year of my professional life has been as an entrepreneur.

Education
2 year Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication
3 year Bachelor of Science
Academic scores are average at best

My Post MBA goal: To get into a consulting role.
Long term goal: To be an entrepreneur.

Hi,

Thanks for your post. You certainly have a solid profile with a good GMAT score and career trajectory. Your greatest challenge will be to stand out in the applicant pool. I suggest you look for schools that will not only help you achieve your post MBA goals, but are also a good "fit" with your personal interest. I encourage you to consider location (big city vs. small town) and class size as you look for schools. The better suited a school is for your interest (both academic and personal), the easier it will be for you to connect with the school in your essays and interviews - thus increasing your chances of success.

Start by looking at top 15-20 programs in the US and then use the "fit" criteria listed above to help you narrow down your list.
