Can someone please chip in for any good master degree schools that have a campus near NYC? as far as I know, there are only 5 schools:

Columbia (Full time only)
NYU (both part time and full time)
University of Rochester (I believe only finance)
Rutgers and Fordham

Does anyone know if there are other top tier schools that have a NYC campus? I am sure this thread can help many other applicants near NYC area as well!

Define "near" NYC. Rochester is not near NYC it's about a 6 hour drive west of New York. It's closer to Canada than NYC. Cornell is about an hour closer than that. So if by close you mean within 6 hours then yes, Rochester would be in that group. But Harvard, Yale, MIT, Wharton, and Georgetown are closer than Rochester would be.

Rutgers doesn't have a NYC campus. I know the business school has a campus in Newark which is a short train ride from NYC. Fordham is in Manhattan.
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I should've made myself more clear. By "near", I meant you can probably take subway, train, PATH or bus to get there within an hour or so. Univerity of Rochester has an NYC campus for finance major only (not MBA, as I pointed out in the original post). For Rutgers, you can getthere from the city within an hr or so by taking train to either New Brunswick or Newark.

What I am trying to find out is if there is any other decent schools within a reasonable location from NYC for part time students who work in the city. For example, students who work in NYC can attend in the evening during weekday.

For instance, I know Tepper has a NYC campus for computation finance. Is there any other decent schools that aren't based in NYC but has an NYC location other than the schools listed?

aaahhh i see... yeah no i think you have the "top tier" schools covered. also if you will be working until say 6pm, getting to Rutgers in time for class may be a stretch.

Hi nyusternfan163,

The Yale School of Management is not very far from New York City. There is a train that goes directly from Grand Central in Manhattan to New Haven, where the school is located.

Hope this was of help.

Cheers,
