There is no fixed rule that can determine the time required for the prep. It varies from one person to the other. It might take 6 months and I would not be surprised if you score well after 4 weeks of prep. I would suggest you take a practice test and see where you stand vis a vis your target score. From there on we can make a plan you can work on.

Agree with Prasanna. Most people take 3-4 months of regular study (every day) but some take less time and some take more. Research the schools to which you want to apply and find out what kinds of scores those schools consider "good" scores. Take a practice test to see where you fall before doing ANY prep and then use the resources here to build a study plan.
