Hello All!
I'm currently coming from a semi-untraditional background (2 years of Medical School in the US, always believed that I had a strong passion for the sciences, etc), and eventually decided that I'd prefer a change. I'm into patient care, altruistically; however, I've realized that it's not ultimately for me. I've recently taken the GMAT and scored only decently (640). I plan on applying to several MBA programs in the not-so-distant future. Currently, I have a middle-management position at a well known hospital in NYC. I'm not certain if I'd like to stay in a hospital-related environment, or in a health care setting at all.
Based on my score, I do believe that NYU would be out of the question (would part-time also be out of the question?). What are your thoughts on Fordham's program? I know that they have a consulting program/internship, which sounds extremely interesting. However, what sort of opportunities will I receive/have upon graduation of the program. Additionally, will going PT v FT hinder any prospective chances to line up a job after finishing the MBA program. I know that FT is generally for those that are looking to change careers - seemingly me. However, my current employer will pay $10G a year for tuition as long as you're only attending PT/still working at the hospital.
So, there are some obvious pros and cons for each the FT and PT programs... ultimately though, which will aid me in future endeavors to the greatest degree?
Also, can anyone recommend any other programs, preferably in NYC? Baruch?
Thank you in advance!
