D is way too much on wrong side, 'who' in underlined part requires Doris Humphery to be adjacent, so on that account itself D is wrong, ask who who..

I thought C and E are close as in C will and continue to is worst than has continued which represnets sense of continuitysince some time.

'shared vision that X and Y shared'?? Isn't this redundant?
shared vision of X and Y is better.
'who' is placed after 'shared' in D. It is placed after noun phrase which is modified in E.
