Must be True Question

One of the rule to solve CR questions is 'Do not Generalize'.
Check for modifiers which author have used.

Question: Let say in question if author has used the modifier Many
Answer Choices: In 3 answer choices,it has used different modifier(Few , Some and More) respectively.

Can some one please let me know what's the trick to solve above questions
(like many means all or many means not all, some means few or some means not all...)

Please help.

Hi,

I am not sure I understood your question well. In most cases there are no silver bullets when it comes to solving such problems. However it is always good to know some "definitions":

All = 100
Some = Greater than 1 (could even be 100)
Most = Greater than 50 (could even be 100)
Not all = Any value except 100
None = Zero
Often = Not defined - depends on context
Many = Not defined - depends on context
Much = Not defined - depends on context

The way GMAT can trick you is into believing that "many" can mean "most" etc but I haven't encountered too many official problems that play on words to confuse the test-takers.
