Looking for some input/advice- GMAT vs GPA

by NCL1288 » Sat Jun 18, 2011 10:06 am
I just took the GMAT last week and was very disappointed in my score of 480 (5 AWA). My 4 grad school applications have been submitted and they're all to accredited MBA programs. Is it possible that I have a chance for acceptance considering I graduated undergrad from UCF in May with a 3.84 GPA? (My B.S. Is in Health Admin). if anyone could provide a little advice it would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Here is a general thumb-rule you can adopt - if your GMAT score is about 30 points below the average GMAT score of the school OR within the 80% median range then you are safe. Else it is tough despite your stellar undergrad performance.
