Need Suggestion

[GMAT-2011]

Dear All,

Requesting your suggestion.
I am planning to apply for top US business Schools. Below is my brief profile. Please suggest if I should go ahead and start applying for MBA admissions or just drop the idea. (Considering my current role and salary, the investment from my side will be too high and it will not make sense to go for a MBA ranked below 20). Don't want to invest time and money into application process if the profile is not worth it.

GMAT Score: 680 (Q-47, V-37, AWA-4.5)

Graduation: Bachelor of Engineering, 75%

Post Graduation: PGDIE, 8.02 CGPA

Total work Exp: 10 Years. (5 Years in Consulting and 5 Years in Management, Currently working as a senior project manager with IBM India)

Dear GMAT-2011,

With the limited information posted, it is difficult to say what your chances will be at any business school. You have the foundation for a competitive application; however, decisions are based on more than numbers. With 10+ years of experience, you might consider executive MBA programs unless you want to make a significant career change. There are several executive MBA programs in the Asia-Pacific region that are joint programs or satellite locations of top US programs. If you are desiring a significant career change, then a traditional full-time program is a solid option. Be sure to explicitly address your rationale for the MBA in relation to your goals so the schools you apply to understand why you are choosing full-time over an executive program.
