Hi all,

Firstly thanks to this forum for all the many tips everyone has provided. Helped me greatly in achieving my score. Unofficial score was 720 on the Quant and Verbal. Really pleased with it - especially as I only started 3 weeks ago!

However in my Analysis of Issue Essay in the AWA I think I was halfway through deleting a sentence when the time ran out. Rookie mistake in not watching the clock properly! I am really worried that this will cause me problems for my applications. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do? Do you think this will be hugely detrimental to my chances of getting in? Would appreciate advice.. thank you!

For the AWA you will only get a combined score for both the essays. The essays are read by a computer and a proffessor (IIRC) and then graded, then averaged to arrive at your score. Its possible that the proff will realise/understand that you were deleting that line. More so if your essay was written reasonably well and the other essay was also written well.

Usually, it shouldnt really be a problem. Just keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Most colleges give a cursory look at the AWA score. They rely more on your essays and the interview to gauge your skills.

All the Best.
