URGENT HELP NEEDED

by uttara1989 » Fri May 20, 2011 10:03 pm
I want to reschedule my exam to July 26. (I had scheduled it for June 14th). Website is not letting me to do so. It says " You are attempting to schedule an appointment during a research period and have not agreed to take part in the research. Please
schedule a date before 5 Jul 2011 or after 19 Aug 2011."

I am okay with answering extra questions but I really want to take it on July 27.

How do I sign up now?

It being a Saturday Customer Service is closed. :-(

I just tried to figure out what went wrong. The site is so stupid. When we schedule for the exam it says "Are you writing exam between July 5 to Aug 19". When we are writing in June why would I check in that option! By default, it assumes that we are not opting in for the research deal. :-(.

So what happens if I really do need to schedule between Jul 5 and August 19? Is it irreversible?

I have mailed gmac, but I would really want to know if I can postpone.

So here is the answer, for all those who are facing similar problem.

You need to call the GMAT help center, they will assist you with rescheduling the GMAT.
This cannot be solved over email, so only option you have is to call them.
Do not expect that they will refund your money in case you have already rescheduled to date which is not part of the research period as you were unable to reschedule to a date you wanted.

Hope this helps !
