I've taken the GMAT 3 times now and I have not scored well. My score has increased every time but not nearly enough. As embarrassed as I am to post these, I feel that I should so I can get better feedback.

Scores:
420 V:27 Q:26 AWA:5.5
450 V:27 Q:26 AWA:5.5
480 V:32 Q:24 AWA:5.5

I'm by no means dumb (I made Dean's List many times in college) but I'm pretty awful at standardized tests. I know for a fact that the schools I am applying to only look at the highest score but even if I score above or around 600, will my past scores still make me look bad? I'm sure they don't paint me in the best light right now as it stands but I'm wondering if a way higher score would help. Or are these scores going to haunt me in the next few years? I'm just looking for an AdCom perspective.

Thanks!
