Hi,

From(1) : y(3y+7) = x. So, x is (3y+7) times y and (3y+7) is an integer too. So, x is a multiple of y
Sufficient

From(2) : Choose x= 4, x^2-x = 12(multiple of 3), If y = 3, then x is not multiple of y
If y = 2, then x is a multiple of y
Insufficient

Hence A

Cheers!
