Is positive integer x prime?

1. x can be expressed as the product of two integers, each of which is greater than 1.
2. 13 < x < 17

lets first consider the definition of prime no. which states that prime no. is a number which is divisible by 1 and itself.

Now consider
1) x=a*b; i.e. x will be divisible by both a and b; and each of which is greater than 1, hence x is not a prime no.
2) integers lying between 13<x<17 are 14,15,16 each of which is not a prime, hence x is not a prime no.

as each statement to answer the question hence answer should be D
