Registered For GMAT. Shall I take or Not

Hi All,

I have registered for my GMAT for May 16th 2011. I am continuously giving mock test every week from MGMAT & GMAT PowerPrep. But my score has not reached above 600 at anytime. So now i am confused whether to give the exam or not. I want to give it to have a feel of exam but again thinking if i score low it will be a waste of money. I am continuously scoring low in verbal and DS. Also running out of time during each mock test. Please suggest me something. Shall i reschedule or shall i take. But i have one thing cleared in my mind that if i score low also i am definitely going to put lot hard work until i beat my weak areas and concur GMAT. Now i know what are my weak areas but i don't have enough time. Just a month left.

Hi Manish.

Wrong forum.
This forum is to explain how you got your scores.

If your target score is not near the scores you are getting in the practice and if you cannot prepare sufficiently in the upcoming month, you should postpone your test by all means.

Thanks for reminding that i put in wrong forum. But i am currently working and now only i have time to give exam. After May, i will have tight schedule in my office due to a new project and i think i can't give much time for preparation for some time, so was thinking what to do.

Then give it all in the next month. GMAT is an important factor in the app process.

manish ... running out of time is lot lot dangerous than putting it wrong...

600 in mgmat tests is good... do it in time I am sure you can be near 670 to 700..

I am doing more wrong in DS and drawing assumption or conclusion for CR. Any good source which can help me in these two? Also any source where i can learn basics of grammar?

Since may 16th is the exam date... you do only DS and SC on a consistent basis.
Because 1) for DS and SC no material can beat this forum.
2) these two will improve your score and response time.

In practice test if you can finish your 13 SC in <13 min..which is very much possible with ease... You can avoid your problem of time management.
Dont compromise at maths ... you are indian.. its in your blood..practice practice and do more practice.. maths is what you might have been doing from age 5... the fear of DS will go away only with practice.. finish as many pages on this forum as possible in one month.

If you do this you can get math > 45 and quant > 30..All the best
