LSE Msc Management and Strategy

by matteosuccitti » Mon Feb 28, 2011 7:57 am
Dear folks,

I'm an italian student from Bocconi University of Milan and I'm applying to LSE Msc Management and Strategy. I'm 22 years old. In short, this is my background:

-Degree in Economics and Social Sciences with the score of 80%
-internship in a italian society , for which I developed a new management system
-volunteer work
-GRE score Q=710 V=590 , I'm now practicing to take the Gmat too.

I would like to know if there are any chances of being admitted to this MSc and if my background should be improved or not.

Really Thanks

Matteo

The program you are targeting accepts very few people and has a GRE quant average in the 780s. That makes it a very competitive program. No one is assured acceptance to a program of that quality. You should consider talking directly with the school to see whether the admissions group would assess your candidacy up front. If you are determined to go to graduate school next year you should widen your list of target schools. Unlike MBA programs, the average age of students in the LSE Msc is quite young so most are coming straight from undergraduate programs. That suggests that a couple of years' work experience might not help your profile. It seems that at least one student from Bocconi has attended this program. Your undergrad placement office might be able to help you assess how your background compares to that student's.

Good luck,

Hi Tani,
I got admission to the same course for the year 2011-12, however I am not sure whether I should accept the offer or not. Do u have an idea of the placemnet scenario of the course in London right now. I have an experience on 2 yrs in management consulting company and I am a B.Tech in Computer Science.

I don't have specific information on the placement out of this program. You should get in contact with the admissions department at the school. Most schools will publish placement information on their graduates.
