Hoping for some expert advice out there... I am polishing up my app for LBS's Round 4 and was hoping for some feedback. I was dinged in UCLA's round 2 so at this point I am definitely doubting my candidacy.
Profile:
- GMAT 680 (41 quant, 42 verbal, 85%tile over all)
- GPA 2.95 trending to 3.45 (last two years) and because I was an International Relations major I took almost no math (which should explain the low gmat quant score right?)
- Extremely competitive college internships (State Senate, top marketing firm and Legislative Advocacy firm)
- 4 years post-college work experience at Lucasfilm Ltd. (the film studio) working in Business Operations (manage my own budget but no direct reports)
- Extra-curriculars include sports, charity races (most recently a 12k), mountaineering guiding.
- I'm also a hobby investor (etfs, stocks, mfs, forex, options and traded my way through college
I have two stellar recommendations and I believe my essays to be compelling and well crafted.
I'm also a dual national (US/UK) with more international experience (both professionally and socially) than anyone I know... because of the sheer number of excellent American business schools I've heard LBS is constantly competing for American's to expand their alumni network in the US, could this be true?
I hate to ask the question that everyone does but am I even competitive for round 4 at a top school like LBS?
Any feedback is appreciated and good luck to all!
