Hi,

I have done my B.E. in Electronics and Communication and presently have a 18 months work experience in the IT industry.
I wanted to know as to which woould be the best session for me to apply for the B-Schools abroad. Is it worth getting my MBA done in Europe, where the duration of the course is 1 year.
Do I stand a chance of getting a good B-School if i write my GMAT till June and apply for the Spring-09 batch ?

Dear bhavyabhandari:

Europe is a great option if you are interested in working there when you finish or the industry you will be pursuing post-MBA in your home country hold the EU schools in high esteem. There is no reason the schools would not be held in high esteem, but you should make sure the industry is familiar with the programs you are considering for business school.

You need to check with each school on your target list for deadlines to take the GMAT and to receive the application. If you can make the deadline taking the test in June, then it might be worth applying. With only about 2 years of professional experience, you need to get a high score and spend the time on your application to make it as strong as possible.

Good luck!
Lisa
