xy - y^2 = 0 --> y (x-y) = 0.
y =0 or x=y.

If y =0, x can take any number.
2) x^2 = y^2
x =3, y=-3.

If y=0, then x also equals 0 as x^2 = y^2. x=y
otherwise x =y.
