Does the car have enough gas to reach its destination?

(1) The destination is 90 miles away, the car gets an average of 30 miles to the gallon, and the car has 6 gallons of gas.

(2) The car uses about 3 gallons of gas to go 90 miles, which is the distance to the destination, and the car currently has more than 5 gallons of gas.

IMO it should be D (each statement alone is sufficient to answer the question)

Stat 1: dist = 90 miles
Avg miles per gallon= 30
so to drive 90 miles, it should take approx 3 gallons and the car has 6 gallons of gas left
hence sufficient to reach destination

Stat 2: uses 3 gallons to drive 90 miles and has more than 5 gallons left So again sufficient to drive to its destination

Somehow i get the feeling that I am missing something ... This seems too simple. Whats the Answer?

Ya even I got the feeling. This sounds too easy. Is there a catch? Maybe that's what he is trying to highlight.
